It isn’t unusual to see people of all different races, ethnic backgrounds or cultural groups living in one society. Such a society is a mixture of different people now. Since they live in a society is influenced by many social factors. I think it is much easier for different ethnic groups to live peacefully in large cities than in small towns.
I visited in New York last year. New York is a not only large but also urban. However people live in harmony and respect for one another. I really surprised at this. There are still a lot of racial discrimination in Japan. We have to address in order to live in harmony. Moreover we have to respect one's identity.
Did you watch the video (or read my summary)? The point is that hundreds/ thousands of unique cultures, living in remote areas and in many cases possessing knowledge we don't have (of varying degrees of usefulness, you might say), are being forced by corporations and governments to leave their land and way of life. We all lose something as a result.
